Who We Are

The New York State Council of School Superintendents (The Council) is a professional and advocacy organization with over a century of service to school superintendents, and assistant superintendents, in New York State. The Council provides its more than 875 members with numerous professional development opportunities, publications and personal services, while advocating for public education and the superintendency. LEAF, Inc. is The Council’s Foundation.

Convene to solve problems, provide inspiration, and access resources.

Hear from our 2020-21 Council President Dr. Robert Ike, Palmyra-Macedon who will share his vision for this coming year at our opening keynote on Monday morning.

Listen to sessions on advocacy, financial, and legal updates as schools reopen; how our brains are reacting to the new normal and why; findings from the 2020 Snapshot of the Superintendency; racial equity and justice; and how to support the mental health of your staff and students, to name just a few.  

Registration is $159 for members and $199 for non-members.

Registration for Retired Life Members is $80 per person.
